Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit treats and monitors critically ill patients of all ages. Patients in ICU may suffer from failure of one or more vital organs, due to severe trauma, surgery, or serious illness. These patients require continuous monitoring, and top quality medical equipment is essential. The length of stay in ICU will depend on progress, and once the patient is well enough, he or she is released to the regular treatment ward, sometimes at short notice.
