What can we offer?

The research department can assist a research project at various stages and can be a valuable discussion partner in the planning process. 

The research advisors at the research department can contribute with: 

  • Application support (information on opportunities for funding) 
  • Medical, health science, and scientific expertise for planning and implementation 
  • Study coordinator for practical assistance at the start of a study and training of study staff 
  • Advice on applications for project approval to The Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REK), Norwegian Medical Products Agency (NOMA) and the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) 
  • Ensuring study compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other mandatory ethical, GDPR and local (Helse Stavanger HF) requirements
  • Facilitating, preparing and assisting in monitoring activity, audits and inspections
  • Project economy
  • Contacts for clinics and institutes
  • Guidance for project registration in eProtokoll
  • Guidance for contracts and agreements
  • Assist related to student work, e.g. bachelor and master thesis projects
